Tradition has it that an annual Halloween Costume Party is held in the large gym here, down by the helicopter pad. The building is a Quonset hut, and the lights and music play off the inner arch beautifully. As we are on nights, the party was slated to begin just after we finished breakfast- a strange time for a dance party, and we were originally luke-warm about attending. But as soon as we saw this guy:
in our dorm, we just had to go! We threw together a couple of costumes, and joined the party. Our friend Ben was DJing, and we ran into many other friends while we were there. Many people had thought about their costumes for months, which made for a pretty entertaining scene. Here are just a few snapshots of people we are close to:
