At the end of the season (anywhere, at the end of any epic journey), you always find yourself sifting through random pictures of the friends you've made. Here is a smattering of my favorite faces, which may mean nothing to many of you reading. These are the people who made McMurdo what is will be in my heart and mind for years to come!

Dave and I leave the Ice tomorrow, Sunday, February 17th. (thats actually the 16th for many of you!). It has been tough, it has been breath taking, it has been beautiful down here. Certainly something to remember. I think we are both ready for a little warmth and a few nice trees!

In 6 weeks we will be back in Seattle. But before that, we will do a little tramping in New Zealand, check out the Sydney Opera House, and spend 3 weeks in Thailand visiting Liza (my sister). We may not get a chance to post while we are on the road, but I'm sure we will share our stories once we get back!
